In our next Rescued Heroes calendar, we will feature a variety of dogs from rescue. Four are service dogs that are helping Veterans learn how to manage their symptoms of PTSD. We hope the stories of these Veterans help you understand what they are experiencing and help raise awareness of the value of service dogs in healing the invisible wounds of war.
We are honored to share the story of the service dog Esuda who belongs to Mike, an Army Veteran. Their story of training with the organization Paws and Stripes is an amazing one that was documented in A&E’s series Dogs of War. You can watch a brief video on Michael’s backstory on this YouTube video. His story is one that will give you a special insight to what a thorough organization can achieve when the dog and Veteran are matched properly and start out on the right foot.
The other eight dogs featured in the calendar are excellent examples of therapy and working dogs that are making the world a better and safer place for all of us. We know you will be inspired by their stories. And all of these incredible dogs are from the rescue world. So stay tuned!
