The Mission of the Rescued Heroes Foundation is:
To raise awareness of PTSD and TBI and the value of service dogs in helping our Veterans adjust back into civilian life.
To spotlight service dog organizations that have a history of success in helping our Veterans with invisible wounds.
To raise funds for special Veteran projects.
Rescued Heroes Foundation tells the stories of our returning Veterans with PTSD and TBI who have found their way back to a settled civilian life, and managed debilitating symptoms with the help of rescued service dogs.
Each calendar month features the painting of a service dog, a photo of the Veteran and dog beside their inspiring story of healing. A portion of the proceeds from online sales during the regular calendar season went to the service dog organizations we recommended on this site. They were chosen because of their proven history of success in matching and training Veterans alongside well screened shelter dogs.
For more information about the service dog organizations we have chosen, go to the Organizations We Support tab.
The Rescued Heroes Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization.
